The Oskar story
Oskar Prime was founded in early 2024 by experienced property agent Caspar Harvard-Walls as a private, secure way for buying agents to reach selling agents representing Central London properties over £2M. Since launch, Oskar Prime has grown rapidly and now hosts more than £7Bn of active searches, most representing off-market sales.
The launch of Oskar for consumers is the first new way to find a home in almost 30 years. Using all of the learnings from Oskar Prime, and an all-new conversational experience, Oskar stands the traditional search process on its head. Now, homes come to buyers, matched against their individual needs – including off-market properties that are never publicly listed.
For property agents, the shift is just as significant, giving them instant, private access to verified buyers without any listing fees or time wasted on unverified, unqualified leads.
Oskar will progressively open up to homebuyers and agents nationwide, at all price points, in the months ahead. A new Oskar Prime has also been launched.
The founding team
Caspar Harvard-Walls
Founder
Caspar joined Foxtons in their South Kensington branch in 2006 and spent five years working within the company’s most successful office. In 2011 he joined leading buying agency Black Brick initially as a consultant before becoming a salaried partner in 2013 and then an equity partner in 2017. Over the course of his time at Black Brick he acquired more than £500m worth of property across London for his clients and was regularly featured in both the national and international press commenting on market trends.
Ben Seale
CSO & Co-founder
Ben joined Spotlight, the casting platform, in 2001 and went on to become its CEO and owner. Over almost twenty years he led the business from a small print directory publisher into an international, subscription-based digital service, running offices in Dublin, New York and Rome with affiliates in Stockholm, Sydney and Los Angeles. Spotlight was sold in 2020. Ben now runs HV Spectre, the start-up incubator and angel investment firm where Oskar took shape, and works alongside Caspar on Oskar’s strategy and growth.
